On November 6th, 2018, the Supreme Court unanimously concluded that yes, the ADEA covers “States or political subdivisions” with 20 or less employees. Examples of “States or political subdivisions” include: state and local governments, state universities and community colleges, and water or fire departments. You can read more about the Mt.
